Silver Fox Distillery is dedicated to creating unique and exquisite Gins and spirits says Lisa Townsend, the owner of the Artisanal distillery in Arthur Ontario. Using only the highest quality grains and botanicals locally sourced to the distillery coupled with Mark Townsends (Master Distiller) 40+ years since creating his first spirit. Lisa and Mark worked for several years designing the stills and equipment presently in use in the distillery. The trifecta of quality materials, skillful knowledge and superior equipment developed over years of trials is showcased with Silver Fox Distillery receiving 20 spirit awards in in its first 2 years.
Once we settled on Arthur to be the home for Silver Fox Distillery the real work began. Lisa and Mark finalized the design the dual 1300L stills system along with six fermenters (1300L each) that are presently in use. The storefront was to be much more than just a sales floor and was created as a museum to honour science fiction shows and movies. This creates not just an award winning distillery but one of interest and creativity which is reflected in the spirits produced.
Gins are one of the mainstays of Silver Fox Distillery with many types available at any given time,, plus unique special and seasonal releases available throughout the year.

Activities & Events
The Museum Experience
More than just a Distillery experience, Mark & Lisa spent years building Doctor Who props ( some seen on TV) to travel around Canada and raise donations for Sick Kids Hospitals. In the seven years of doing this just over $200,000 has been donated to hospitals from the group they were active in. Travelling to Comic Cons and setting up a display for photos and interactions was an experience now shared in the distillery. Also, vintage cars appear from time to time at the distillery, presently there is a Siva Edwardian on display, but a 51 GMC 5 window will be making an appearance upon its completion from a restoration.
Though the 1952 MG-TD has been moved from the distillery to the workshop, it will return after it has had its restoration.
With 9 Daleks, Davros, the Tardis, and Bessie we will endeavour to keep the showroom fresh and interesting.
Tours
Tours which include tastings run on weekends. Call the distillery to book a time. The tours usually last around an hour and allow you to experience the process of spirit production.
Cost: $15 per person with $5 off if a bottle is purchased on tour day
